The organisers of BioSouth 2012 are pleased to welcome a registration from the Scientific Leader Healthcare Biotechnology of Wiltshire based Health Protection Agency.

The Technology Development group at HPA Porton Down, specialise in the development of rapid, point-of-care diagnostic tests for a range of infectious agents, using both nucleic acid and protein targets.
The group's focus is on working with end users to develop tests that alter the clinical care pathway by allowing earlier or more informed treatment.
They would be interested in collaborating with companies and academic groups that have eitehr specific diagnostic platforms and/or specific markers of infection.
The HPA can provide input into all stages of the process from marker identifiaction, target / assay development, sample processing and collection to initial lab evaluation.
